Surayyah Dances

Surayyah is a dancer and fire performer who got her start dancing as a kid in Louisville, KY, and began her bellydance, fire and burlesque journey in Athens, GA before moving to her current home in Atlanta. She was a founding member of bellydance troupe BeliLuna, Secret City burlesque troupe, and Athens Burn Consortium, She was a featured performer with Chattanooga's Subterranean Cirqus, and spent 8 years as a dancer, sideshow performer, choreographer, stage manager and producer for the Carnivale of Black Hearts,  all while providing entertainment at birthday parties, restaurant openings, art shows and  other events all over the area.  After spending 6 years as a part of Lotus Fusion Dance Ensemble, she currently performs solo and alongside the other members of the  Southern Shimmy Collective.
